Everybody attending Power Tour - don't forget to register at: https://www.click4secureprocessing.com/familyevents_secure/register.asp Even though this is not an official POA event, if 5 or more of you register in advance as a club you can get a $5.00 discount for each of you.
Buddy & Club Discount Program: Don't forget to deduct money from your entry fee if you meet the requirements for our Buddy & Club Discount. Rustle up at least five members to enter at the same time by e-mail, mail or phone, and you each save $5.00 off your total. Anyone from the club who pre-registers after the initial group, gets the discount when they mention the name of your club. BRING A FRIEND AND SAVE too! When you and a friend (who has never entered a Special Events show) pre-register together, you both can save $5.00 on your entries -- It's our way of saying thanks for the referral. Only one discount per order. EACH DISCOUNT IS GOOD FOR PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY! This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 05-14-2005 at 02:38 PM |

Hey everyone - I'm getting "pumped up" for the start fo Power Tour. There are going to be some unbelievable cars. Over on the Hot Rod forum some people are talking about 650 - 1000 HP (at the rear wheels) cars. Some of the people just started building their cars in the last few weeks or months - real gearheads. Quite a few are bringing other family members along and a lot of people are planning side trips to attractions along the way. Think about it - the largest POA event had just over 100 cars - this event will have over 3000 driving city to city everyday for a week. This will be a BLAST (but still looking forward to the Dell's also!) |

snoman - from what I have read they have a one day registration fee of $20.00 if you want to park at the venue. Others have told me there is no admission fee but you would have to park elsewhere. I am only repeating what others have told me. I would suggest you go to www.hotrod.com and send them an email asking your questions including you parking options. I would assume if you wanted to join up with a bunch of us the next morning as we cruise towards Spingfield, Il you would be able to just jump in line with us since it is pretty much up to everyone to get to the next city on their own. I just found out that rooms are still available at the Gaylord Resort in Nashville. I went ahead and booked there, and I'm going to cancel my reservation at the Holiday Inn for this stop of the tour.. Note that that Gaylord is the venue location at this stop. This is a really nice place and it's only $150 a night with tax and everything INCLUDED! The rate Holiday Inn gave me was 104 + tax which came out to $119.00 If anyone else decides to change over to the Gaylord you can call Kristen at the Travel Agent... 1-800-284-9854

Ron - are you coming to Indy first or Nashville. I will need to find a place to store the trailer in Nashville (probably at our company's office there) and pick it up on the way home rather than tow it to Florida and back. If you are coming to Indy I'll just drop it off at home on our way through Louisville. |

Marty, I'm going to Nashville first. That was my orignal plan in the very beginning. I thought I was going to have to cut off a couple stops and start in Tally, but things have worked themselves out. As far as the trailer goes I still don't know if I will even have the trailer. It's located right outside New Orleans, and since I'm not going that way I can't pick it up down there. If something can be worked out to get the trailer up to Shreveport La, I'll be glad to go over there and pick it up, and bring it along to Nashville. |

I REALLY hope the tour is organized better than it's "Sign up" process LOL - I signed up back in February but NEVER received an email confirmation OR written confirmation via mail so I "signed up" again yesterday, assuming my original registration might have been lost in cyberspace. GOT a CALL today from the organizing company asking me why I signed up again, so I told them that I never received ANY KIND of confirmation - the nice lady apologized for the confusion and that THIS CAN happen - oh well, I'm SOOOO looking forward to the Tour, we might even go all the way to Kissimee IF time permitting ! |

Dusti - yeah, they were kind of slow in their registartion process. Up until a few weeks ago the web page said PRE - registration so I did not register. I read on the HotRod forum that the first confirmaation lettters wre mailed last week. I just registered late last week - Thursday or Friday - and they called to verify my credit card # because I had entered one digit wrong. Hopefully the confirmations will be arriving soon. I am told it is a basic one page note telling you how and where and when you can pick up your reg stuff at the venue. |
