Frank - as soon as I see the hotels listed on Hot Rod's web site, I'll post a link. Bob Goetz is hoping for some insider info to get a list of hotels before they are announced. In any case we will do a little research and pick a hotel in each city so all the POA people can stay in the same place. I know $$$$ are always a concern so we will try to keep that in mind, but anybody who has never been to Opryland Hotel in Nashville, you may want to go a head and budget extra $$$, the place is pretty impressive. Frank - Do you want me to add you to the list now or wait until you make a firm decision? |

I might be able to make the INDY part of the event....lol usually they use the Adams Mark Hotel for a Host Hotel here in Indy. If you want a good place to stay safe, secure and close other than the host hotel there are several others in the area, but part of the fun is being where the other cruisers are staying anyone wanting Info for Indy let me know. Will have to look at the dates and see if I can make maybe more than the one day. |

Just picked up the November issue of HOT ROD Magazine to check out any UPDATES regarding the 2005 Power Tour. The only thing I found was on page 40... "DON'T MISS POWER TOUR 2005. Each year you miss Power Tour means feeling like a loser for another 51 weeks. Next year's event will start June 4 in the upper Midwest and conclude on June 11 in Kissimmee-St. Cloud, Florida. This is the earliest we've ever announced the dates, so it's bound to be another biggie. Log on to HOTROD.com for specific location announcements as soon as they're available". See y'all there, Jay |

I just found another mention of the Power Tour 2005 in the November issue of HOT ROD... check out page 153 also. We will see y'all there. We want 150 Kats making the run from Tallahassee to Kissimmee (Orlando) including those Long Haulers, so Florida Kat Pack Members start making your plans... we are counting on each of you to make this a Record Breaking Event. The current record (Prowlin' the Smokies 2003) hosted 108 Kats... WHAT A SIGHT!!! The Power Tour 2005 and the Florida Kat Pack are going to break the record right here in Florida!!! Jay |

Marty... I am convinced that many (most) Kat Owners do not have a clue what the Hot Rod Power Tour is... what it is all about... what goes on during the tour. Do you have any informative links of previous Power Tours or where a DVD ~ VHS copy of these may be obtained? I know what the Power Tour is, but having never participated it is a little hard for me to fully explain some of the details. My participating in a Power Tour has just been a dream that is fixing to come true!!! Any detailed or in depth information you may refer the POA Members to will be very much appreciated. I am sure when this is available the Prowler registration to participate will will soar. This is really going to be FUN, FUN, FUN!!! THANKS, Jay |

Hey Jay - I just got a glimpse of the 2002 Power Tour by reading about it in our local Louisville newspaper as I was out of town when it came through here. Maybe Laddie could post something about it since he has been on it before. Here is link to a post about Day 3 of the 2002 Power Tour. You can type in a year and Power Tour in the search field on the top left of the page and it will take you to links about past Power Tours. It is basically a large Cruise In in a city where locals join the touring cars and then get up the next day and drive to another city an do it all over again. It's a moving cruise and you can take in lots of side trips and you meet many new friends. It's really a lot of fun with lot of activities planned along the way and at the stops... It's well planned and there will be some hickups along the way and you just have to roll with the flow and enjoy... It's really a great adventure or happening... If you can't make the long haul, the next best thing is to take in a few legs or just take in one day at the cruise night stop for that day... Here's some pics from 2000... Karen, Gwen (my sister) & Beau (my son).
We toured Talladega track & museum... That was one of our cruie stops... We met Jesse & Sally at the staging location a mall. From there we had 20 mile cruise with around 800 cars to the cruise site. The police blocked every intersection and escorted us the entire 20 miles.. that was quite a site...

We took end a little go cart racing...
