I am sure the closer we get the more questions will be answered. I just don't want to be left out or be told sorry pal you should have registered. I don't care about a goody bag as much as I want to be considered part of the group. I want to park and ride with all the others. I am in for a fairly long trip but what about the people joining us much further down the road. Can someone answer that who has been on one before. |

Alright - Jay has been getting the word out to the Florida Prolwer Owners and we are starting to add some more names to the list. There's plenty of room for a LOT more!!! Question - I am wondering about how many people willbe staying Friday night in Kissimmee, how many willbe staying Friday & Saturdau night and how many (Florida owners) plan to just drive home Friday after we arrive in Kissimmee? I think we need to figure out approximate numbers and plan a get together Friday evening and agian on Saturday for those staying - especially since we will spread out at various hotels. |

I went yesterday to see where the Holiday Inn Express was in Irondale, AL, I can give directions if anyone needs them. You can't see it from the interstate but it is up on a hill behind a McDonalds and next to a Sam's Club small hotel but looks fairly new Mike This message has been edited by Bama Kat on 02-03-2005 at 07:36 PM |

Previously I posted that a personal invitation was extended to the XM Satellite Radio personality, Matt the Cat, host of the Nite Prowl Show (XM Channel 5) to join us for some real Prowling during the Hot Rod Power Tour. The following is his personal reply... -----Original Message----- Hey Jay, Thanks so much for the email. Looks like you Kats really have a time down Keep on prowlin', Of course I am disappointed but there's more... Ron Pfau, one of the Florida Kat Pack Members, has been in personal contact with Drag Racing Legend "Big Daddy" Don Gartlis. Ron as confirmed that "Big Daddy" will be in his Drag Racing Museum Friday, 10 June 2005 to welcome the long haul Prowlers and the Florida Kat Pack Members. More later regarding this wonderful opportunity as the museum is located in Ocala on the way to Orlando. If you haven't made your commitment to join the Hot Rod Power Tour 2005, do it now and meet "Big Daddy" along with way. More later, Jay This message has been edited by YELLER CAT on 02-07-2005 at 09:07 PM |

Marty... I have just ordered 300 of the 2005 Hot Rod Power Tour Brochures for distribution as we continue to rally our Prowler Friends to join this monumental Hot Rodding Event. Upon receipt of these, I will send you 150pcs for distribution. Additionally I ordered some "Official Press Kits" for distribution to the daily publications in Tallahassee, Ocala and Orlando where the largest concentration of Prowlers are planned. If you know of anyone in these areas that may assist in getting these to the right people, please let me know. As we move forward there are two concerns... rallying 150 Prowlers to join the FUN, FUN, FUN as we Prowl into the Hot Rod History Books and to continue promoting the Prowler as a Hot~Street Rod to the Automotive Press. Without a doubt, this year's Power Tour will be one of the BEST OPPORTUNITIES we have ever had to gain some favorable press editorials without Factory Support. Also we don't want to forget the local area radio stations in our efforts. While our National Radio Personality had to decline due to prior commitments, there still may be some "call in" opportunities to his live show as the Prowlers are on the road... more later on this. I am still seeking a "local" Prowler Owner in Tallahassee and Orlando to assist in setting up a rendezvous for an organized arrival and departure in conjunction with the Official Hot Rod Activities. Keep up your GREAT EFFORTS in helping us all enjoy our Prowlers in such a fashion... this Power Tour will be an awesome experience for EVERY Prowler Owner. Best wishes, Jay |

Some Dinner & Show web-sites you might want to check out while in Kissimmee,Florida. Number1 has unlimited house beer, wine and Coca-Cola. 1.www.arabian-nights.com Maybe one of the four places could be a place to have a Prowler Owners dinner & show together??? |

Dusti - I have checked the hotrod website regularly and will do so again in a few minutes. For several months they have saying the routes are being decided and they post info in a few weeks. Same goes for my family and friends in Louisville - we are between Indy and Nashville and the route has to cross the Ohio River so it should be here. I'll post a link to the route info as soon as hotrod puts it upon their site. David - I'll also check out your links! Thanks |

FYI... before the Hot Rod Power Tour leaves Tallahassee for Orlando, either I or one of the dedicated Florida Kat Pack Members will make a test run seeking the best food, rest and fuel stops for all the Kats. This test run will be after the "Official" route is announced. The "recommended" Kat route will conform to the "Official" route with one exception, if not included, a stop at the Don Gartlis Drag Racing Museum in Ocala for those that may wish to visit one of the most incredible collections of Drag Racing History anywhere. The following is information received from our Kat Pack Members Wendy & Ron Pfau... Jay, here is more information on the Florida Kat Pack stop at Don Garlits Museum on June 10th. The Museum is located off I-75, Exit #341 (old #67)... the Restaurants at this exit are Waffle House, Arby's, Dairy Queen, Sonny's Bar-b-Que and McDonalds... the Gas Stations are BP, Pilot, Shell, Chevron and Exxon. Wendy and I will join the Tour here at the Museum and continue Prowlin' with the Pack to Kissimmee (Orlando). We will be the "Official Prowler" interface with Don Gartlis. We will arrive there early to ensure that all is set for all the Kats when they arrive. THANKS Wendy and Ron, Jay |

All you Kats and Kittens participating in this monumental Hot Rodding Event, check out page 1 of this topic to see if your name is on the list... if not, PLEASE eMail Marty immediately so he can update the list. We only need about 100 more Prowlers to join in the FUN, FUN, FUN reaching our goal of 150+ Kats participating in the 2005 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour. You don't want to miss this one as we Prowl into the Hot Rod History Books. We will see y'all there. THANKS, Jay This message has been edited by YELLER CAT on 02-15-2005 at 06:08 PM |
