Hot Rod Magazine has announced official dates for the 2005 Power Tour as June 4-11, 2005. Starting in Milwaukee & ending in Kissimmee Florida. Link to route directions: http://www.hotrod.com/powertour/hrpt_directions_2005.pdf Please post names, year & color of car, and if you will be joining us for the Long Haul or the specific legs you will be joining us. You may book hotels at official Hot Rod Power Tour Hotels through links on www.hotrod.com or make your own arrangements. Following is a listing of hotels some POA people have made reservations at along the way: 6/3 & 6/4 Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites - Milwaukee Airport You must talk with the specific hotel and not the chain central reservation system. Ask for the Prowler Owners Association Rate. They have a total of 91 rooms and all rooms are available on first come/first serve basis. In order to not pay for any unused rooms if we reserved a block, they will continue to take reservations from outside people also. At this time they are NOT one of the Power Tour Hotels so that group should NOT be filling up the hotel. 6/10 -6/11 - Jay Harris says they are excpecting 100 - 150 Florida Prowlers to join us there. Everyone should make their own lodging arrangementsa for Kissimmee. Here is link to the Power Tour hotel service: Bob Goetz and I will be staying at the hotel closest to the event location - BW Heritage Park- Kissimmee - $80.00 including all taxes and 1/2 mile from the venue. POA Hot Rod Power Tour attendance list: 1. Bob Goetz - 2000 Black or ???- LONG HAUL

Definitely interested - if NOT for the "long haul" then at least meeting in a city closeby ! Midwest to Kissimee, eh so you will have to "come by" AL/GA/TN - we're right in that 3-state-area ! Thanks for any further updates Marty ! |

This is the BIG ONE the Florida Kat Pack has been waiting for. With 259 Florida Members I will be making a dedicated effort to rally at least 150 of our Members to congregate in Tallahassee for the trip down to Kissimmee (Orlando) FL. With that many Kats joining in with the long haulers, the Prowlers will surely attract the attention of the Automotive Press helping us secure our claim that the Prowler is part of the American Hot Rod ~ Street Rod Culture. If I remember Prowlin' the Smokies was the largest single gathering of Prowlers. The record is going to be broken... the Florida Kat Pack is going to raise the bar for the most Prowlers gathering at a single time. Florida Kat Pack Members... make sure your Hot Rod Magazine subscription is paid up so you won't miss any event information. Visit www.hotrod.com frequently. Also, mark you calendars... arrange for a couple of days vacations... get ready for some FUN, FUN, FUN with National Press Coverage. I can't wait!!! Stay tuned for more, Jay

Jay/Laddie - great news. Laddie - I know you have been on Power Tour before and always posted how much fun it was. Jay - get the troups in Florida revved up. We had 108 Prowlers in the Smokies last year. Let's see you start working your magic. Do you think we need to find a hotel in Tallahassee just for your Florida group??? Those of us traveling the Long Haul will most likely book rooms through the organizers of PT. |

I am sure that some of the Florida Kat Pack will consider booking rooms with the Power Tour group in hopes of some discounts and just for being with the group. We will just have to wait and see what they have available and go from there. I sent an email to all our Members last night seeking local Tallahassee and Orlando Owners to help put this all together... with the goal of 150 Kats, this gathering will require a dedicated Team effort to insure a FUN, FUN, FUN event. Right now we are focused on the Turkey Run. We always have a good Prowler showing there and are looking for even more Kats than last year... we can never have too many. THANKS and keep us posted, Jay |

CJ just so Bob feels better about it have him tow one and you drive the other, then to mess up anyone paying attention switch cars every other day. |

That is 1224 miles. The problem is I would have to go to Milwaukee to start and then drive home from Fla. so basically doubling that mileage. 2450 miles plus. Maybe! |

quote: Ed - the trips to Deadwood, Grand Canyon, Prowlin the Rockies, Louisville and the Texas Stampede all had to be close to that many miles or more. OK - maybe not Lousiville, I was trying to see if you were paying attention! If nothing else - join us in Indianapolis and make the drive to Nashville. Marty |

CJ - we hope you all join us. If not for the entire tour, maybe you can make a few of the days while the PT is still in the Midwest. That will be one of the cool things about this - having POA people met us at the various stops and joining in for a leg or two! Marty |

Marty, good point. BUT, I drove the M/C to Deadwood and Grand Canyon. The others were ALL Prowler events so I knew I would be seeing a lot of cool folks. Not that this won't be a grand time. I may do it. I doubt if Sandy will take off all summer. We want to go to Deadwood and the Dunes and they are all pretty close together in time. We'll see as time goes by. Bob, where are we going after the tour? |

I'll let Bob answer the ??? about the exact location we are going after the Power Tour. The plan is for the guys to do the PT solo and our wives join us in Tallahassee with the 150 other Prowlers that Jay Harris is organizing. Here's a hint; after the trip to Kissimmee we will go to another location where they are known for their marquaritas. Can you figure out where that is? |

It will be a little Island hoping I have pit stops at every one, we have a few members with house's way south and I am sure we can swing in for a visit, then off to have photos taken at the most southern point in the USA and watch the sunset on a 50 foot catamaran, eat some very fine fresh seafood and listen to great music all night long, then maybe take in a little fishing for sail fish. ------------------ |

A couple of years ago we were in Key West, San Diego, Maine (on the way to Nova Scotia) and Seattle all within about 18 months. We hit all four corners of the continent in a very short period. We did not pre-plan it, it just happened. Key West would be pretty cool with a bunch of Prowlers. |
