The weather was perfect for top down driving. We took a bunch of scenic byways and no interstates. It started raining about 9:0 pm last night and rained most of the night. The roads were wet this morning so we decided to head back to Atlanta. Drove he dragon on the way, ate lunch at McDonalds in Robbinsville, NC - cruised to a DQ in Hiawassee, GA then back to Alpharetta. Left Knoxville at 10:00am this morning and arrived home at 4:15 this afternoon. All in all it was a great two days. Learned three very important lessons along the way: - Noah does not get car sick - Noah can sleep through just about anything (including a brief top down downpour!) Be careful when playing with the freezer in the room as 4 year old fingers stick to the ice very quickly! Sorry the weather didn't cooperate. Looking forward to seeing Larry, Ed, and the rest of the crew at Woodward in a few weeks. This message has been edited by DublinOH on 07-28-2007 at 04:43 PM

The weather turned to crap last night and it did not look promising and I did not feel very well today so we skipped it. I knew Larry and Sue weren't going but I felt bad about standing up Steve. That is not my style. Glad you had a good trip Steve. Last year the weather was not all that great, either. It did clear up late both years.
