Travel to events through heavy rush hour traffic has went pretty well. Occasionally someone will stray but we always get to where we are going thanks to GPS. I don't know how we got by without it in the past.

Tomorrow morning the Southern California group is heading back home. Unfortunately we are going to miss 2 fun filled days. Many thanks to John, Grant, Jerry and Roy along with all the other MileHi Prowlers behind the scenes for hosting this event. Memories that will last a lifetime. Christy and I are fairly new Prowler owners and really enjoy the camaraderie.

I can't believe someone would actually drive a Corvette to a National Prowler event.

My kat is like most house kats, likes to lay around in a cool house and hates getting wet. The corvette is much more comfortable, especially on long trips and better economy(30 mpg).

Did they fly in and rent?
We had to do that a couple of times to attend Woodward and it's definitely not as much fun.

I think I see the back side of AC & Lethia on one of the bridge pics.

John, Grant and all the Colorado area prowler owners,
THANK YOU
for a wonderful week of unforgettable sites and camaraderie. It was a blast and thank you all for all your hard work. Met some new people and able to reconnect with old friends. Great hotel, great weather (98% of the time), great looking cars. And to everyone that came, even if you couldn't bring your prowler, thanks for making it such a wonderful event. I will look through my pictures and post some as time permits if they came out ok.

Another big THANK YOU to the Mile High Prowler gang for putting this event together. We flew up from FL due to the distance and rented the black Camaro convertible. Special thanks to John for allowing me to drive one of his Prowlers to the Royal Gorge to be included in the bridge photos.

I was happy to see so many old friends we have made at other events, and pleased to make new friends at this meeting. Also a great way to see a part of this country I have never been to. Thanks to John, Grant, and all the others for your hard work and hospitality.

I will try to post a few pictures also. Won't ever forget the beauty of the Rockies, nor the how light headed and dizzy I was at the top of Pikes Peak!

Hope to see you all again soon.

Here is a short video my wife took coming down from the summit of Pikes Peak. She had never used this camera before and she thought she was filming going up but this is all we had. When at the summit we were above the clouds at 14,115 feet and still had snow. All of this video is above the tree line and there were no guardrail, there was road and then sky. I was in 1st gear going about 20 mph and the tack was running over 3 grand using the engine to keep my brakes cool. A lot of people were kind of wobbly on their feet at the summit because of the thin air, me included.

Noah And I made it home this morning. Indiana wins the award for worst roads. we had a blast. Between pikes peak, royal gorge bridge, and bishops castle I did a pretty good job conquering my fear of heights. Time to start cleaning bugs!

Now that's a good looking Prowler!! What is fun to watch at the Pikes Peak hill climb is the unlimited Semis run. Usually under 13 minutes, in the wet.

Dale, Bonnie did a heck of a job keeping your Prowler spotless. Always looked perfect. Did you ever reward her by letting her drive it? I don't remember ever seeing her behind the wheel!

Thanks for the video. I always forget I can do that with my camera and end up with just still pictures.

She worries about everything, so I don't have too.
Once you get to know her she will talk and she can be fun but most people don't know that.

Keep seeing Marc's car, so was one of his family members there or has the car been sold?

Hope to in the future get to visit the area, Sue is getting stronger and hope she will be up to road trips in the future

Almost forgot, has Jerry got his stroker motor in his cat?

Yes, Jerry has a stroker motor in his car but still has a few bugs to iron out. He took it up Pike Peak and the Park Ranger stops you part way down to check your brake temp and Jerry was real warm, almost enough to make him pull over to cool down.

About 5 years ago or more most of the road to the top was dirt. I had the unpleasant experience of riding my motorcycle back down after a rain storm. Talk about a scary ride.

Yeah, but they kept two or three road graders on that upper part to keep the rocks level. lol You are correct, that can be a scary ride coming down.
What a boring job, checking for overheated brakes all day. But it is necessary since folks tend to ride the brakes. I took the cog train up the last time. I got light headed that tie but never did when we drove up.
