High bidder lives in Valencia and the car is in Florida. The high bidder apparently sells concert tickets either for a living or as a lucrative sideline.
I still have no idea if it is a legit. bid.
This is on the GOLD cat.

Mike - now that you posted about it being a piot car I can vaguely remember some of your early posts about it. I know the car looks great and the fact that it is one of the five Black Tie pilots means someone will be getting a great car. Good luck on the sale.

Joe,
That made a great deal of sense.
I was offered 43000 tonight , still just a little too low.
Spring may be better.

Mike... regarding your very special Black Tie, if I was the owner of this Prowler, being it is "one of five" ever produced with a pedigree, it would take at least $60K to even spark my interest in selling.

As you know, your Black Tie is not just another Prowler, even though they are all very special, this one is truly a "collectible" in every sense of the word.

Additionally with your personal attention and loving care this Kat has received makes it even more valuable to anyone, especially a collector.

If I had one of five Pink YUGOs then it too would be worth something more than the other YUGOs... think about it, "one of five" and there will never, never, never be any more!!!

GOOD LUCK and please don't give this one away... somebody that really wants a "collectible" is willing to pay for a "collectible".

Best wishes, Jay

Me too! I'm really suprised at this. To me the story behind it is what sets it apart....and the ton of tastefull mods. I think it says a lot about the market for them right now. I'm scratching my head on this one though!

Here's a question...from a relative newbie.

Wouldn't the car be more collectible in stock form (save the hardtop) than with the modifications? I always thought collectors wanted their collectible in original, mint condition.

I'm not a car collector or Prowler owner (yet), but I do have one car I've always wanted and I'm torn between adding mods or leaving stock. Both are equally appealing.

I think you'll find that any mod's that Mike did on that car are 100% reversible so that it could become 100% stock quite easily.

Makes sense. Sounds like that is the trick...make it easy to restore to original. Thanks.
