JC...you know you seemed like a cool guy every time we talked on the phone. You should be bitter with yourself, not me. I don't know why I feel the need to defend myself to you, but there's a big difference in this situation and the one you're refering to. I dropped the ball with GUB....you waited to long to pull the trigger.....TWICE....it's kinda funny that I try not to put my high pressure salesman squeaze on friends or family, wich I consider POA members to be, and then when one of them takes some time to consider the purchase, if it's sold already...it's MY fault.

I'm an honest man with integrity, a good husband and father, I'm very proud of my accomplishments...and I sleep very well at night.

I'LL BE SIGNING OFF FOR A WHILE

Bottomline:you were doing a credit check, I was buying the Viper, I kept calling you see if the deal was approve, I finally got a call from you telling me it was sold. Sold to someone esle... It may not been your fault but someone esle in your company may be pulling the strings! Im use to car dealers playing games, once again it may be not your fault!!! You cant hold all the cards, keep posting, get down on the your boss, I hate losing a deal too because of some esle. Good luck!

How does running a credit check constitute buying anything? In my past experiences if you don't give the dealer a deposit on the car it could be gone before you get all your paperwork done. I don't think any dealer around here would turn down a cash deal, or another credit deal if it was an immediate approval while waiting on someone elses credit to be approved without a deposit. Just my .02

Just another classic example of the HUGE shill bidding network our Ebay dept. has created through the years. As of 3 days ago we've actually cleaned house of all former Ebay employees at our dealership and I'm in the process of putting together a business plan to the owner for me to have it incorporated into my department. This Viper was not sold to membersfirstautos for that price. Remember....Ebay cares more about the companies who pay huge listing fees than they do for you....I've never been a fan of it. Maybe it is me......I feel like I've been involved in a lot of controversy on the site here recently but I'm the kind of person who you always know where I stand. I don't sugar coat and I don't straddle fences. What you see is what you get. Let's let this head down the page guys. 24 hours was already too long for me to be away.

Here's an old thread that actually has something to do with several angles of this issue.

I met John personally a long while back and was working on purchasing a Prowler from him back in 1997. John has a habit of selling to the highest bidder though despite how long someone else may have had a cash deposit with him. Some will say, hey that's business, and you're right ... so if a person has lots of money and is eager to part with it ... John IS a great guy for purchasing Dodge/Chrysler and formerly Plymouth items through.
