C J I sure hope it stands up . That's probably the first thing everyone says when they see this conversion "are you sure that trans will take it"
The Main reasons I'm doing this is,
#1 Its A HEMI
#2 The v8 sound
#3 Respect {those brand x cars will turn right at the lights!!
#4 My wife is making me !
I see a lot of people turning 11,, 12s & 13teens with blowers//turbos //nitros etc. and not a lot of complaints about the trans..
I suppose if you drive it with a little common sense it will last . I do a lot more cruisin to shows than drag strips .
If one used it as a weekend warrior at the dragstrip you would be buying transmissions . But then I could take my wife's GT cruiser to the drags and do in here trans in a weekend if I tried hard , but then I couldn't go home ..

Anyway my main stumbling block right now is the radiator cooling system . Its gotta be KOOL!!

Hey Maybe this a good topic for the weekly poll

Moparmania,
How about dual radiators on each side of the engine bay? They would be small, but their combined capacity, along with 160 degree stats should handle the cooling.

Moparmaina..(and of course Mrs. Moparmania)

You're our idol! "Were not worthy.." This is by FAR the most exiting reality Prowler mod that I am aware of.

I'm convinced the Tranny (transaxle) will take repeated abusive, hateful and sadistic FULL throttle 2nd to 3rd shifts!!

But.... The tranny will NOT take full throttle reverse neutral drops AND (Butchee's right) the tranny will NOT take full throttle 3rd to 4th (Drive to overdrive shifts). Burn those two rules in your brain, and I think the 42LE will survive!

Keep us posted with every exiting detail and photo!

Moparmania, I agree with what you said, except for the part about the wife. I love the sound of a V8 and lets face it when you are at a race track and crank up the rumbling of that cam, whine of the blower and the awesome sound of the TT pipes enhancing each cylinder as it fires, Well you get the idear. If it isn't a race motor it just doesn't feel right at a race track to me. Too much past experience I guess, I don't know. You have me hyped now. Let me know how it goes. DON"T GIVE UP TO EASY.

YOU JUST GOTTA LOVE THIS GUY!!!!
